Jason Dobranski's Biography

 

Mr. Jason Dobranski has been teaching beginning string students in the Brentwood School District for the past 9 years. In that time, his groups have performed successfully at the NYSSMA Major Organization Festival and the Music in the Parks festival, as well as at the Music in our Schools month celebration in Albany. In addition to his teaching career, Mr. Dobranski has a very successful career as a cellist. He has performed with the New Jersey Philharmonic, the Hampton Chamber Orchestra, and Sound Symphony, very often sitting as principal cellist, and has worked under the baton of such world-renowned conductors as David Amram, Lukas Foss and Miriam Burns. Mr. Dobranski has also been playing in small ensembles for weddings and other Long Island events for the past 12 years. Mr. Dobranski is dedicated to his craft, whether he is performing himself, or teaching it to others.
