Deb Schaarschmidt's Biography

Deb Schaarschmidt is a professional violinist with over 20 years experience. Deb studied music performance at California State University of Stanislaus where she won a concerto competition in 1989. She had the privilege of travelling with California State Stanislaus Orchestra to the former Soviet Union in 1990 to perform. Deb played violin with the Continental Orchestra and traveled to Hong Kong, Korea, Hawaii, London and throughout the US.  Deb received her BA in Music at SUNY Stony brook and completed graduate level music courses at Hofstra University. Deb maintains a private violin studio and has been training top level students for over 20 years. Deb has a passion for music and is very diverse in her abilities as a violinist and is proficient in Bluegrass fiddle and Jazz and she performs as a freelance violinist in the Long Island New York Metropolitan areas.
